The creations of Tomás Hernández Baez count to the most popular art from Izucar de Matamoros and combine all traditional skills which have been developed by the last generations. Tomás learned his basic knowledge from the famous great master Alfonso Castillo Orta who died recently and was one of the most important mexican artists in the past 30 years with worldwide reputation. Don Tomás preserves the revolutionary handling of clay which he learned from Castillo and interweaves it with his very detailed style of painting. Spotless and ultra fine lines made with a brush out of one single horse´s hair make him the master of the brushes.
