Santa Muerte Figurine
Authentic Santa Muerte figurine made of resin, stylishly decorated and available in three different colors
Our Santa Muerte figurine is cast in resin and then dressed in a delicate robe. The garment, skillfully attached to the figure, is made of shimmering synthetic fabric interspersed with small reflective dots and is available here in three different colors: the red Santa Muerte is consulted for support in all matters of love, and she also provides emotional stability. The black figure offers all-encompassing personal protection - especially against black magic, while the white Santa Muerte stands for purity and gratitude and spreads peace and harmony.
The Santa Muerte figurine is decorated with a carefully applied gold border that wraps around the entire piece, floral motifs, a small mirror, and the customary fake $100 bill along with plastic coins to attract money. Please note: the color of the plastic flower and the fabric rose may differ from the images shown here. Due to shipping constraints, we ship the scythe unassembled - to activate your Santa Muerte, you can lend a hand yourself by screwing the small hand attached to the scythe into the pre-drilled hole on the left shoulder and then threading the scythe through. The faces of the Grim Reaper are beautifully crafted, and the seeds embedded in transparent synthetic resin at the base of the Santa Muerte’s foot prove that this is not soulless tourist trinkery but highly authentic Santa Muerte merchandise. We source our figures from the traditional workshop of Tia Sabrina, who has been running a small Santa Muerte specialty shop with her niece at the famous Witches’ Market in Mexico City for many years and supplies her figures to many other stores throughout the country.
The cult of Santa Muerte has tens of thousands of followers across all segments of Mexican society - of all the folk saints, the Saint of Death enjoys by far the greatest popularity. The Catholic Church classifies the cult of Santa Muerte as a pagan ritual and even suppresses it in many places, but this does not deter her followers from worshipping the skeletal woman with a scythe at countless small shrines throughout the country for love, health, happiness, financial and professional success, and personal protection. Santa Muerte differs from other Mexican folk saints primarily in that she is known by the name Mictecacihuatl as an ancient Aztec goddess of death and ruler of the underworld. For this reason, and given their classification of the Santa Muerte cult as a pagan ritual, Catholics must confront the accusation that they banished an ancient Aztec deity here in the course of the conquest and Christianization of Mexico.
