This mariachi miniature sitting on a grave impresses with its skillful painting and a great, minimalist-modern skull. The arrangement has been made by hand from fired red clay, with the mariachi and the liquor bottle glued to the grave. The skull, crowned by a cardboard hat, was embedded in the body with wire and can be carefully aligned as desired. The guitar, also made of clay, is glued to the main character, with a red ribbon sash over his shoulder.
This smallest version of our Dia de los Muertos collectible figurines is generally characterized by a slightly imperfect, folkloric charm. Our Cemetery Serenade is a very fine example of Mexican folk art on the cusp of museum quality - you simply can't make this type of figurine any better, with every detail in place. The collectors among our regular customers know what the hour has struck when we say the word NUGGET - a fantastic piece of work and a sweet gem for your home altar on the Day of the Dead.
