Manny Calavera

Manny Calavera is a Superskull classic of the first hour and the perfect companion for our La Catrina figures with the feather. The elegant Mr. Calavera differs from most of the other small Dia de Muertos collectible figures in this round mainly by the fact that he stands on two legs. The inside of the legs and also the arms are not stabilized by wire, but the figure is made exclusively of hard fired clay - we know this very well, because in the early days of this undertaking we unfortunately had to deal with Manny's legs breaking on several occasions. 

The fragile affair was produced with the utmost precision by a small family business in Mexico City - the coloring of the figure and the facial expressions of the skull are perfectly executed and, like all our figures, Manny Calavera was glued to a small wooden plate to ensure a secure stand. Like the cigarette, the skull has been embedded in the body with sturdy wire and can be carefully aligned, while the walking stick is firmly glued to the arm.
