We source our Papel Picado garlands from a family-run business in a small town south of Mexico City, which has been crafting traditional Mexican decorations for three generations. The base material for Papel Picado is wafer-thin tissue paper in various colors. This is worked by hand in stacks of 50 to 100 sheets using a hammer and chisel, and then glued onto a string. With its handmade charm, Papel Picado stands out strikingly from conventional Dia de los Muertos decorations and gives your celebration that extra special touch - give it a try!
