These tin shrines in the shape of a small coffin are a fine further development of the classic Day of the Dead shrine. This art form has its origins in the shrines of Mexican religious folk art, where the skillful processing of sheet metal into decorative objects has been perfected over generations. The highlight of the neatly soldered body of the Elvis sarcophagus is the glazed door, which can be opened. On the one hand, dust can be wiped at the feet of the King from time to time - but above all, this opens up the option of adding a very personal touch by adding paper flowers or other small decorative objects. When closed, the door is held by a small metal clasp and is secured with hinges. As far as the design is concerned, we can confidently let the photos speak for themselves - the Elvis clay figure and the hand-painting are of exquisite quality, sequins and glued-on paper crowns at the front add a folkloristic touch and, as an extra treat, the side walls are also decorated with Loteria cards on the outside.
