This almost "life-sized" Frida Kahlo skull mask for the wall has grown dear to our hearts over the last years and it became one of the core components of our mexican skull collection. The lavishly ornamented wall decoration has been made from a good pound of hard-burned red clay. All individual parts, like the birds, the flower in the center, the skulls in the eyes and both leaves, have been formed of clay as well and are attached to the body of the black skull mask with a solid wire. Details like the cute devil earrings, the glittery hair wreath and the skillful hand painting make this magnificent piece of Dia de los Muertos art from the deep south of Mexico stand out. At the top, there is a strong wire strap for secure wall mounting.
A little tip for your home: with some crafty skills, you can upgrade the skull mask by placing a light bulb or some LEDs behind it. With this creative trick, the eye sockets of the skull start glowing and the light shines subtly downwards through the holes.
