The perfect gift for drummers and anyone who wants to become one! The drum kit of this elaborate construction consists of a bass drum into which the 4 smaller drums have been embedded using sturdy wire. Both the bass drum and the small drums and the bronze-colored cymbals are made of clay. In the case of the cymbals, a small clay base ensures secure adhesive contact between the wire and the wooden plate. The microphone is attached in the same way and the bass drum and the small seat stool of the Calavera drummer are of course firmly attached to the base.
Unlike the other figures in the series, the main character in this arrangement is not skeletonized, so only the head can be moved. The skull is of the usual perfection, the magnificent dreadlocks have been glued on top.
The Calavera Drummer is made by hand in a small workshop in Puebla with the many years of experience of an established family of potters and a great deal of attention to detail - this is not street corner handicraft but Mexican craftsmanship at the very highest level.
