This small scapulary is something like a religious garment for laypeople and consists of two small pieces of fabric embroidered with the silhouette of the Virgin of Guadalupe, connected by a fairly sturdy strap. The embroidery is quite detailed given the small surface area and is accented with delicate gold details.
The scapulary is simply worn under clothing with one of the amulets facing forward and the other on the back—the back is made of pleasantly soft material that you can barely feel against your skin. Of course, this religious good-luck charm is also a great addition to your home devotional corner; in Mexico, we often see scapularios combined with a rosary or other religious items on the rearview mirror of a car.
