This handmade tin metal mirror is one of the first products that Superskull has ever offered. The traditional mexican decoration is manufactured in a master craftmen’s workshop in Oaxaca. An insertion pocket has been soldered to the backside of the healing hand and holds the little mirror, which can easily be exchanged for a photo of your choice by the way. To mount the classy mexican decoration to your wall, just use the wire loop on the backside.
The artistic processing of tin has a long tradition in Mexico and is one of the most typical representatives in the field of authentic mexican decoration. At first, the outline of the hand is transferred onto the tin plate by the use of a stencil and a simple thumbtack. Afterwards, each piece is being indivually cut out with a metal shear and any sharp edges are removed.
