Strawberry Crucifix Deluxe

This exceptionally fruit-adorned crucifix is an original Superskull design, custom-crafted for us with great finesse in Oaxaca de Juárez. The fruits that give it its name have been symmetrically embedded into the body and adorned with delicate dots and a ring of small leaves. The larger leaves have also been firmly embedded into the body with wire and captivate with their beautiful color variations. 

Like all other elements of the piece, the body of this handmade Day of the Dead decoration is made of hard-fired Mexican clay; the back has been painted white. On the front, four smaller and one larger skull emerge from the body; additional foliage creates harmonious connections between the skulls, and the center is decorated with fine golden lines and red dots. The black surface has been finished with a satin-matte glaze and shimmers quite mysteriously depending on the angle of the light. On the top, there is a tab firmly embedded in the body for secure wall mounting.
