Lapiztola Artprint

“Music Plays Everywhere” is the title of this work by our friends from the Lapiztola art collective in Oaxaca de Juárez, immortalized in a masterful screen print on sturdy construction paper. The visual framework of the art print is an ornamental collage in bright pink featuring the revolutionary hero Emiliano Zapata, who has been given a modern makeover complete with a signature mohawk. The two main characters with the boombox have been integrated using Lapiztola’s signature coarse-grained stencil aesthetic. This is a deliberate stylistic break from the more subdued background, a technique Lapiztola also loves to employ in their elaborate designs covering entire building walls. 

The golden frame fits perfectly with the rest, but unfortunately serves here only to illustrate the possibilities and is not included in the delivery. You will receive a properly packaged, neatly rolled print of a fine example of authentic Mexican street art.
