The Crazy Donkey

Burro Loco, the Crazy Donkey, is a wiry fellow with long legs. The magnificent skull of the personified animal cheerfulness shines with a huge mouth and is crowned by long ears. The tail has been very skillfully integrated into the body and the figure stands perfectly on its 4 legs. 

Working with papier-mâché has a long tradition in Mexico. Paper fibers, water and paste are processed into a viscous paste that can then be sculpted with great verve. Our Burro Loco comes from a small family business in Mexico City, where it is handmade to the highest standard using the combined experience of three generations. The exquisite collector's items are given their dignified charm by extremely smart sculls in perfection and a glossy lacquer finish, which preserves the elaborate hand-painting and also provides a subtle portion of patina.
